Based in Loughborough, our manufacturing facility handles everything in-house — from raw material processing to welding, fabrication, painting, and full assembly of bespoke acoustic units. Key Responsibilities

  • Metal Fabrication: Craft high-quality metalwork products with thickness between 1mm to 10mm, products would consist of Plenums, Doors, Manifolds, and others to exact specifications.
  • Welding & Assembly: Utilise MIG welding techniques to assemble, finish, and inspect various metal products.
  • Design Reading: Interpret designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for structural soundness, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain workshop tools and machinery to ensure smooth operation and safety.
  • Problem-Solving: Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to troubleshoot design or fabrication challenges.
  • Overtime: After 38 hours enhanced pay for overtime.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial/Structural setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in MIG welding, metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metals, welding procedures, and fabrication tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety Focused: Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures related to fabrication and workshop environments.
  • Hours: Static - Days 6am till 2pm, Afternoons 2pm till 10pm (15% shift allowance), Nights 10pm till 6am (30% shift allowance).

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience with bespoke and custom metal fabrication projects.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and a keen interest in continuous learning and skills development.
  • Passion for traditional blacksmithing and modern fabrication techniques.
  • Keen to keep housekeeping up to a high standard.
