WB Power Services is seeking a dynamic Commissioning Manager to join our expanding team and work on nationwide projects. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading generator specialist company experiencing rapid growth. The Role:

  • Strategic oversight and management of all commissioning activities across multiple projects.
  • Oversees multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring processes, quality, and timelines are met across the business.
  • Responsible for coordinating commissioning activities on-site and directly supervising engineers/technicians.
  • Regularly involved in hands-on commissioning, while still coordinating and leading the site team.
  • Creating and overseeing commissioning schedules across multiple jobs, ensuring resources and milestones are aligned.
  • Provides high-level commissioning reports and metrics for the business and clients.
  • Deal with on-the-ground technical and operational issues during commissioning.
  • Resolving escalated issues that impact delivery across multiple projects.

The Person:

  • Proven experience in commissioning management within mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally with generator systems.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Electrically qualified & registered, with City & Guilds 18th Edition (or equivalent).
  • Skilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings and schedules.
  • Able to work under pressure and find practical solutions to challenges.
  • Willing to travel nationwide and work away from home when required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
