Class 1 HGV Driver – Days
WB Power Services is currently recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers with HIAB to work 5 out of 7 days – 45 hours shifts from our depot in Huntingdon. This is a superb opportunity for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join the business during this rapid growth period. We are looking for a driven and motivated driver to support our team during these exciting times.
WB Power Services is a leading generator specialist providing solutions, maintenance, sales, and hire services across the UK. As a family-owned business, we prioritize our values and offer a friendly working environment while maintaining high professional standards.
The Role
- Using a lorry loader/HIAB to deliver generators to sites.
- Delivering and collecting company equipment across multiple locations.
- Observing driver hours and tachograph regulations, keeping proper records.
- Conducting checks on trucks and trailers.
- Collecting parts from suppliers when necessary.
- Ensuring loads are correctly secured with restraints.
- Operating vehicles within speed limits.
- Accurately recording data using the company’s management system.
The Person
- Valid HIAB license is essential.
- Maximum tonnage on HIAB license is desirable.
- At least one year of experience working with HIAB/Lorry Loader.
- ADR license is desirable.
- Willing to work in a permanent role.
- Valid driver qualification card and driver CPC are required.
- Comfortable communicating via telephone and face-to-face.
- Ability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries.
