The Role
As an Engineering Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting our Diesel Field Service Engineers and wider operations team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Diesel Field Service Engineers on-site
- Supporting service, fault finding, and breakdown jobs as needed
- Liaising with Service Coordinators at head office to assist with job planning
- Collecting and delivering parts between depot and site
- Loading and unloading company vehicles when required
- Assisting with cable pulling and testing as directed
- Following company Health & Safety, environmental, and quality procedures
- Accurately recording job information using our bespoke management system
The Person
We’re looking for someone reliable, enthusiastic, and hands-on. Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in a labouring role within an engineering or mechanical environment
- A full UK driving licence
- Confidence communicating with clients both on the phone and in person
- An interest in developing engineering knowledge and skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A flexible approach to dealing with customers from a variety of sectors
