Generator Service Engineers WB Power Services is currently recruiting Generator Service Engineers. This is a superb opportunity for Generator Service Engineers to join the business through this rapid period of growth. The business is looking for driven and motivated Generator Service Engineers to support the team through these exciting times. WBPS is a dynamic leader in generator solutions, maintenance, sales, and rentals, serving customers across the UK. As a family-owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on upholding our core values while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. The Role Conduct routine maintenance on various diesel generator sets to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and address electrical and mechanical faults promptly, executing necessary remedial repairs with precision. Troubleshoot faults on control panels, including the potential replacement if required. Perform Load Banking and mains failure testing on-site as per customer requirements. Identify and procure parts for both remedial and preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Stay updated with relevant training and development to enhance technical expertise. Generate detailed and accurate reports in alignment with established standards. Submit daily reports promptly to ensure transparent communication and documentation. Coordinate to schedule repairs and services, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution. Collaborate effectively with the internal service team, fostering professional communication and teamwork. The Person Time served as generator engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3. Experience in generators is highly advantageous but not essential. Familiar with electronics & mechanical components (including engines and Alternators). Be willing to work overtime, including mid-week, weekend shifts, and occasional overnight stays as needed. Able to work on-call when required. Be able to understand and complete risk assessments. Any experience in a mobile engineering position is attractive. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable with communicating via telephone and face-to-face.
