Responsibilities
- Work according to REHLKO’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 procedures
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, developing constructive and co‑operative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time
- Communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
- Provide information to supervisors, co‑workers and subcontractors by telephone, in written form, email or in person
- Ensure all KPIs are met while working within all company Health & Safety and quality guidelines
- Plan routes for all drivers efficiently and effectively
- Understand the rules and requirements for driver hours and abide by those
- Ensure compliance with weight regulations when planning routes
- Allocate jobs to drivers using our own planning system
- Ensure goods are delivered or collected from customers safely and on time
- Strive for the highest levels of service at all times
- Answer phones and resolve queries
- Administer driver documentation such as delivery notes and goods received, ensuring the right department receives what it needs
- Ensure all company drivers adhere to tachograph rules, vehicle checks and other legislative requirements
- Monitor fuel usage, analyze reports and feed findings back to the Transport Manager with suggested improvements
- Maintain and monitor fuel cards
- Close down transport jobs, ensuring any required work is booked in
- Control the service schedule for all vehicles, ensuring all are serviced and MOT'd within allocated timescales
- Raise purchase orders for the department in line with purchasing and expenses policy
- Identify and allocate vehicles to new drivers, ensuring they are prepared to the highest standard
- Assist the Transport Manager in infringement meetings, taking notes
- Administer all traffic offences, including getting drivers to sign salary deduction forms
- Work closely with other depots for transport compliance
