The Role: Conducting planned and reactive maintenance on a range of generators. Working a shift pattern 5 days in 7, mainly midweek. Occasionally assisting other engineers in the field, with a company vehicle provided. Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs. Liaising with Coordinators to ensure efficient scheduling and planning. Adhering to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Collecting parts from suppliers as required. Keeping accurate records using the company’s bespoke management system.
The Person: Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above. Experience with generators ranging from 20-1500kVA. Ability to perform risk assessments. Previous experience in a mechanical engineering role is highly desirable. Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points) – willing to undertake towing training if needed. Confident in dealing with customers from a variety of sectors. Comfortable communicating both in person and over the phone.
