The Role
Wayve is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to lead our most important partnerships across the compute infrastructure landscape. As we scale our next-generation embodied AI models, our need for cutting-edge compute—spanning GPUs, networking, and storage—is growing rapidly. This role sits at the intersection of internal strategy and external engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Own strategic compute partnerships across hyperscalers, GPU providers, and infrastructure vendors—managing day-to-day coordination, relationship health, and long-term alignment.
- Drive commercial engagements, including pricing negotiations, capacity commitments, and contract execution, with an eye toward total cost, flexibility, and scale.
- Work cross-functionally to align infrastructure planning with engineering, finance, product, and leadership—ensuring that vendor roadmaps match internal priorities.
- Forecast future infrastructure needs based on product milestones, training demands, and program timelines—building and maintaining live models to support scenario planning.
- Synthesize data and trends across GPU utilization, network architecture, and storage usage to generate actionable insights and support internal decision-making.
- Track market developments in compute and cloud infrastructure—staying current on GPU SKUs, pricing trends, and vendor capabilities to inform procurement strategy.
- Support general technical partnerships, offering analytical and commercial firepower across a broader set of initiatives spanning engineering and business needs.
- Assist in vendor accountability and escalation, coordinating incident response, documenting service issues, and ensuring follow-through on remediation or commercial recovery.
- Represent Wayve in external conversations, supporting senior leaders in high-stakes discussions while bringing clarity, preparation, and strategic alignment to every engagement.
About you
- Experience managing complex, externally facing partnerships in infrastructure, cloud, semiconductors, or AI ecosystems.
- Strong commercial instincts, with comfort navigating contract terms, capacity forecasting, and procurement trade-offs.
- Analytical skills to build models, synthesize trends, and drive insight-backed recommendations.
- A collaborative operator who thrives in cross-functional environments and can build trust with engineers, finance leads, and partners alike.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and able to tailor messaging for technical or executive audiences.
- A bias toward ownership and forward momentum, even in the face of ambiguity or incomplete information.
