The role
We are looking for a Vehicle Safety Operator passionate about cars and driving. This role involves running on‑road experiments, providing feedback to research and development teams, and ensuring safe testing at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Be part of our world‑class operations team to test vehicles across the UK.
- Monitor AI performance and respond to hazards to guarantee safe testing.
- Evaluate AI during tests and provide expert feedback to research and engineering teams.
- Contribute real‑world driving examples to train AI before public‑road testing.
- Support safety and engineering teams by maintaining high safety standards and reporting issues.
Essential Requirements
- Full clean UK manual driving licence.
- At least 8 years of driving experience, primarily in the UK.
- No blameworthy insurance claims in the past three years.
- Strong communication skills and empathy.
- Can work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable, flexible, and passionate about innovative problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent Google Suite.
- Basic navigation and touchscreen skills.
- Basic app usage, text editing and Wi‑Fi management.

- Employment contingent upon passing pre‑employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Desirable
- Prior experience in vehicle testing, autonomous vehicle environments or technical demonstrations.
- Advanced driving qualifications such as ADI or Emergency Response Advanced Driver.
- Extensive knowledge of London and the Home Counties.
- Customer‑facing or hospitality experience.
Shift Pattern
Rota issued 4 weeks in advance.
Monday to Sunday – 40 hours per week, including weekends.
06:30‑15:30
14:30‑23:30
- Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based onsite at Kings Cross office.
- Please consider commute options; no onsite parking and commutes over 1.5 hours one way may be impractical.
