To support this mission, we are expanding our Verification & Release (V&R) group with a role focused on developing and scaling the system tests infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work on a greenfield infrastructure with significant impact across Wayve’s software stack and testing pipeline.
The Role
In this role, you will take part in designing, implementing, and optimizing the infrastructure used for system verification and product validation of our embedded and robotic AI software. Your focus will be on automated software test infrastructure—enabling efficient, scalable, and reliable execution of system-level and integration tests.
You will collaborate closely with the onboard software, DevOps, test, and infrastructure teams to ensure the delivery of a highly automated, data-rich test pipeline with robust reporting, coverage tracking, and traceability.
This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering position focused on infrastructure depth, technical leadership within projects, and scalable system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop test infrastructure for automated system and integration tests.
- Implement scalable test execution workflows with automation hooks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate third-party verification and quality tools, including JAMA, coverage tools (MC/DC), style compliance checkers, and artifact management systems such as Artifactory and AWS.
- Develop infrastructure for report generation, test dashboards, traceability matrices, and system metrics.
- Support validation teams in defining KPIs and creating methods to collect, manage, and visualize verification data.
- Collaborate with CI/CD and DevOps teams to optimize test reliability, maintainability, and turnaround time.
- Drive infrastructure-level improvements that enhance verification coverage, debug support, and compliance visibility across product lines.
About You
You are a technically strong software engineer who thrives in building infrastructure at scale. You bring experience working in cross-functional environments on system validation problems, and enjoy designing robust, automated systems that support large and dynamic software organizations.
- 7+ years of experience in software verification infrastructure, CI/CD integration, or product test automation.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD practices and system test architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Bazel build systems.
- Hands-on experience building test frameworks and test integration tools (e.g., using PyTest or custom libraries).
- Experience integrating software quality and verification tools (e.g., JAMA, MC/DC, MISRA).
- Strong experience with test dashboards, metrics, and reporting infrastructure.
- Effective collaboration skills, with experience working alongside DevOps, software engineers, and test teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences and that not everyone will meet all of the requirements listed above. If you’re passionate about self-driving cars and think you have what it takes to make a positive impact on the world, we encourage you to apply.
