About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others, building confidence, and supporting people in their recovery journey? We're looking for a Workshop & Activity Volunteer to support the delivery of engaging workshops, training sessions, and activities within our Gambling Support Service. Working alongside our team, you'll help create a welcoming and supportive environment for people accessing our services. Whether assisting with workshops, supporting group activities, or helping to identify new opportunities, you'll play an important role in promoting wellbeing, recovery, and community engagement.
Key Duties
- Support the delivery of workshops, training sessions, and group activities.
- Co-facilitate training courses and awareness sessions alongside staff members.
- Help plan and run activities that encourage engagement and participation.
- Research and identify future opportunities, activities, and community resources.
- Act as an ambassador for the service within the local community.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants in a professional and inclusive manner.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of workshop materials and resources.
About You
We're looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, and passionate about making a difference. You will be comfortable working with a diverse range of people and able to communicate in a supportive, non-judgemental way. You'll be organised, reliable, and confident contributing to group activities and discussions. An interest in supporting others, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team are essential. Experience speaking in front of groups or facilitating activities would be beneficial, but most importantly, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and committed to helping people achieve positive outcomes.
