Location: 1st Floor, Carliol Square, Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, NE1 6UF
Working Hours: 37 hours, 9-5 Monday-Friday
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to make a real difference as a Team Manager within our Newcastle Recovery Academy.
Newcastle Recovery Academy is a 12-week structured community rehabilitation programme for adults (18+) in Newcastle. The programme is based on 12 step principles, psychosocial interventions, relapse prevention, and recovery capital development.
In this role you will lead, co‑ordinate and support all elements of the service, ensuring delivery is safe, effective and aligned to targets, contractual requirements. You will drive performance through monitoring KPIs, auditing outcomes and embedding continuous improvement across the service.
Working closely with external partners, you will help develop effective pathways and ensure coordinated, multi‑agency support for service users.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support the day‑to‑day running of the service
- Manage, supervise and develop staff
- Monitor performance against KPIs and targets
- Drive service improvement and innovation
- Build strong partnerships with external agencies
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding
- Maintain accurate records and reporting
- Support recruitment, training and development
- Deputise for the Service Manager when required
What you’ll need
- Leadership: Proven experience leading, managing and motivating teams
- Customer Service: Strong commitment to excellent service delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Service Delivery: Ability to oversee day‑to‑day operations and ensure timely, appropriate support
- Data & Reporting: Confidence in preparing reports and undertaking statistical analysis
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem‑Solving: A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Adaptability: Flexibility to support evolving services and develop new pathways
- Experience within substance misuse/recovery
