We support people and communities to overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Gambling Prevention Team and help deliver high-quality, person-centred support across the West Midlands.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will support the Service Manager in the day-to-day delivery of the Gambling Prevention Service, providing leadership and guidance to a team of Gambling Practitioners. You'll ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with contractual requirements, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred practice. Working closely with local partners and stakeholders, you'll help develop services that are responsive to community needs and support positive outcomes for people affected by gambling-related harm.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, motivate and support a team of Gambling Practitioners through effective supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Monitor service quality and performance, ensuring contractual targets, KPIs and accurate records are consistently achieved.
- Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day operational delivery and ongoing development of the Gambling Prevention Service and deputise in their absence.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with local agencies, commissioners and community organisations to improve access to support.
- Promote best practice, safeguarding and person-centred approaches, ensuring individuals receive high-quality support that meets their needs.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Experience working within gambling support, substance misuse, mental health or a related health and social care setting.
- Experience supervising or leading a team, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- A sound understanding of gambling-related harm, safeguarding and recovery-focused practice.
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- A flexible approach and willingness to travel across the service area to meet service and client needs.
