About the Role

As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping and inspiring individuals to maintain their tenancies, build independence, and achieve their personal goals. You’ll work closely with each person to create a personalised support plan — empowering them to develop practical skills, manage finances, and access work, leisure, or education opportunities. Every day will be different. You’ll be working both independently and as part of a supportive team, providing person-centred support that makes a genuine difference.

What You’ll Do

  • Work alongside residents to create personalised support plans that reflect their goals, strengths and aspirations.
  • Support people in developing everyday living skills, including budgeting, cooking, and managing their home.
  • Encourage engagement in work, training, volunteering, or leisure activities that promote confidence and wellbeing.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance, empowering people to make their own decisions and overcome challenges.
  • Help individuals maintain their tenancies and access other community-based support services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for those you support.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need previous experience to apply - full training will be provided. What matters most is your caring, flexible, and compassionate nature, and your enthusiasm for helping others live fulfilling lives. You’ll thrive in a role where you can connect with people from all walks of life, adapt to changing needs, and stay calm under pressure. You’ll also need to:

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be flexible to work on a weekly rota, including weekends
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car
