Service Manager – Housing Recovery

Waythrough is one of the UK’s leading mental health and social support charities, supporting over 125,000 people each year through more than 200 services.

We are looking for a Manchester-based Service Manager to lead a recovery focused, 28‑bed supported accommodation project and outreach service in Greater Manchester.

About the Role

Manage a supported accommodation project and outreach service, playing a pivotal role in eliminating housing problems associated with alcohol and drug use. Work as part of a wider team to deliver support packages that help clients live independently and progress towards sustained housing recovery.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the 28‑bed supported accommodation project.
• Develop and implement outreach support services.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, housing authorities and community partners.
• Ensure high standards of care, compliance with legislation and policies, and continuous improvement.
• Track and report on outcomes, budgets and performance metrics.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need

• Previous managerial experience in a social housing or related environment.
• Strong leadership, team management and motivational skills.
• Excellent partnership working and collaboration abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of housing challenges related to alcohol and drug use.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
