About the Role

We are seeking a Legal & Contracts Support Officer to join the Legal & Contracts team on a temporary home-based contract for approximately 6–10 weeks. This role has been created to support backlog clearance of contracts, variations, and related documentation across a range of public sector agreements.

Working closely with the Legal & Contracts Manager, you will review and progress standard contracts and amendments, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for execution. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with prior contracts or legal support experience who can work independently and hit the ground running.

Key Duties:

  • Review and progress standard contracts, variations, and amendments (including NHS and local authority agreements)
  • Carry out first-line review of routine contractual documents using templates and guidance
  • Identify missing information and resolve or escalate where appropriate
  • Liaise with internal teams to obtain required contract details
  • Maintain accurate records, trackers, and document systems (e.g. SharePoint, DocuSign)
  • Support alignment between contractual and financial information with Finance colleagues
  • Help reduce backlog and support timely contract completion
  • Work independently in a remote setting to manage priorities and deadlines

About You

You will have experience in a contracts, legal, or commercial support role and be confident handling high volumes of documentation accurately and efficiently. You will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to prioritise workload and resolve issues quickly. Experience with public sector contracts, SharePoint, or DocuSign is desirable. You will also share values of Kindness, Courage, and Respect.

What We Offer

We value the people who make a difference every day. Alongside meaningful work, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package:

  • 27 days’ annual leave, rising to 32 after 1 year (plus bank holidays)
  • Pension scheme with 4.5% employer contribution, matched up to 6.5%
  • Life assurance (3× annual salary)
  • Enhanced sick pay and family-friendly pay
  • Birthday leave and the option to buy up to 5 extra days’ annual leave
  • Professional fee reimbursement for relevant qualifications
