Our IPS experts aim to help people find and choose the right job in just a few weeks and continue supporting them alongside their new employer after they get the job. The IPS team are based at Barnsley Recovery Steps where we recognise that everyone’s goals around making changes to their drug and alcohol use are different. Whatever people want to achieve we can support them to get there, whether this is making small changes, stopping completely, or reducing risk. This role is based both in the service and out in the community. The IPS team work Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and are looking for a volunteer to spend up to 15 hours per week across the team.
Ideally, we are looking for a volunteer with the following experience, but this isn't essential:
- Previous experience of supporting people
- Knowledge of the Substance Misuse Services
- Experience of liaising with or knowledge of services like the DWP or NHS
