About The Role
We are seeking dedicated professionals like you to join our team in Bolton and make a meaningful impact in people's lives, their families and communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Independent Prescriber to join our dynamic healthcare team.
Key Duties:
- Conduct holistic clinical assessment with (or without) prescribing a range of medications (including controlled drugs) within Waythrough’s formulary, to support recovery in line with national and organisational guidelines and policies, and within scope of competency.
- Prescribe cost effectively and according to best practice, provide prescribing information and advice to key stakeholders and partner agencies including pharmacists, GPs and hospital teams.
- Assessment of people who use alcohol, which include criteria for community or inpatient detoxification. Prescribing interventions and management of people who are appropriate for community alcohol detoxification.
- Undertake person centred assessments, care planning, monitoring, evaluation and reviews in practice and outreach settings.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills, a strong knowledge of pharmacology, and the ability to autonomously assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and ensure the highest standards of care.
