About the Role
Tameside Supported Housing Service (SHS) is a 24-hour mental health and community-based service working to a recovery model. We provide a range of flexible support options, including outreach, tenancy support, peer support, and supported housing, to adults aged 18 and over who are on their journey to recovery and independence. One of our key services, Boston Bank, is a 24/7 supported housing service for women, offering five self-contained flats alongside shared communal areas such as a lounge, kitchen, and conservatory. Our focus is on empowering women in their recovery journey, helping them build confidence, develop essential life skills, and move towards independent living.

You’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team, ensuring each individual receives tailored, compassionate care that supports their unique recovery goals.
To Succeed in This Role
- No previous experience is required — full training will be provided.
- More important is your empathy, compassion, and enthusiasm for supporting others to live fulfilling lives.
- We welcome applications from those with an understanding of mental health issues or lived experience of recovery.
- You’ll need to be comfortable working as part of a rotating 24-hour shift pattern and taking part in on-call duties.
