We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Criminal Justice Outreach Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals involved in the criminal justice system to move toward recovery, independence, and a more stable future. You will provide flexible, person‑centred support across a range of settings, including the community, custody suites, courts, and prisons — focusing particularly on key transition points where individuals are most at risk.
About the Role
As part of a multi‑disciplinary team, you will deliver a collaborative and responsive service to individuals accessing substance misuse support. You will work with a managed caseload, offering targeted interventions to those leaving custody and other high‑risk groups, including:
- Frequent custody suite attenders
- Integrated Offender Management (IOM) individuals
- People experiencing or at risk of rough sleeping
You will also provide court‑based support, facilitate group interventions, and advocate for appropriate accommodation for those with no fixed abode (NFA).
What You’ll Do
- Manage a caseload of service users, delivering tailored recovery plans, assessments, and ongoing support to promote sustained recovery.
- Provide targeted outreach support to individuals within the criminal justice system, particularly during high‑risk transition periods such as release from custody.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders to deliver coordinated interventions and improve service user outcomes.
- Support service users to access and sustain suitable accommodation, particularly those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
- Maintain effective case management, including risk assessments, safeguarding, accurate record‑keeping, and compliance with policies and procedures.

Salary: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.
