Job Summary: Join Waystone’s IT Platforms team as Network Manager, taking ownership of all networking across our global estate. Reporting to the Director of IT Platforms and managing one direct report, you’ll lead the network function end‑to‑end — spanning Azure, AWS and OCI cloud networking, Meraki SD‑WAN, LAN, and ISP relationships. You’ll set the strategy, drive delivery, and ensure our network infrastructure is resilient, secure, and fit for growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and develop one direct report, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Lead on all networking activities from design to deployment.
  • Maintain and manage cloud and on‑premises network infrastructure.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects from a networking perspective.
  • Collaborate with external partners for office network and firewall management.
  • Monitor systems and ensure alerts are addressed promptly.
  • Manage licenses and software updates for various network platforms.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for all network issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Manage Meraki SD‑WAN across all locations, including configuration, policy, and optimisation.
  • Own ISP relationships, contract renewals, SLA management, and connectivity procurement across all office locations.
  • Oversee office location network and infrastructure upgrades/changes, including disaster recovery testing.

REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in network engineering in global organisations, with a track record of operating at a senior or lead level.
  • Experience managing or mentoring direct reports within a technical team.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking in Azure and AWS, including VNets, Transit Gateways, VPNs, and ExpressRoute/Direct Connect.
  • Hands‑on experience with Meraki SD‑WAN, LAN switching, and ISP contract and relationship management.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop direct reports, work collaboratively across teams, and engage effectively with external partners and off‑shore teams.

EDUCATION

  • Degree‑level education or significant experience in senior roles.
  • Certifications: Cisco CCNA or CCNP, Meraki ECMS, AWS and Azure Cloud certifications.
