The Global Reward Specialist supports the delivery of Waystone's global reward agenda through high-quality analysis, effective process ownership and confident stakeholder support.

Working as part of the Global Reward team, the role contributes to compensation, benefits, recognition, job architecture and reward governance activities across multiple jurisdictions.

Operating as an experienced professional, the role is expected to manage defined reward processes or project workstreams under limited supervision, apply sound judgement to moderately complex reward matters, and deliver outputs that have a significant impact on departmental results.

The role provides clear insight, recommends practical improvements, and may provide guidance, coaching and support to colleagues within the reward job area, escalating complex or policy-sensitive matters where appropriate.

Benefits and recognition (Main focus)

  • Manage defined global and regional benefits activities for NA and EMEA, including data collection, renewal analysis, market research, employee communications, issue tracking and implementation support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, brokers and vendors on benefit administration, reporting, renewals and service matters, resolving operational issues where possible and escalating risks or compliance concerns appropriately.
  • Support the operation, reporting and ongoing development of the global recognition programme, including programme administration, data checks, stakeholder guidance and communications.
  • Prepare clear analysis and materials to support benefit and recognition decisions, including cost analysis, renewal summaries, market comparisons and management updates.
  • Data, systems and continuous improvement
  • Use HR systems and advanced Excel functionality to organise, reconcile and analyse reward data while maintaining confidentiality, data protection standards and strong audit controls.
  • Lead defined reward process improvements or system testing activities, working with HRIS, People Operations and other stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear reference material, process notes, action logs and reporting outputs to support reward governance and consistent delivery via global HR Support, local HR Business Partner, and via HR BOT.

Compensation, benchmarking and job architecture

  • Support market benchmarking by matching roles to survey data, reviewing data quality and preparing salary range and market positioning analysis.
  • Conduct pay data checks and analysis to support internal equity, external competitiveness, pay decisions and workforce planning.
  • Support the maintenance and development of compensation structures, job family records, salary ranges and related HR system data.
  • Contribute to reward transformation projects by managing assigned deliverables, tracking actions, identifying risks and supporting implementation.

Requirements

  • Strong practical knowledge of core reward principles, with the ability to apply policy, process, market data and professional judgement to moderately complex assignments.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience handling large or sensitive data sets.
  • Good understanding of compensation, benefits and reward governance in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage competing priorities, work independently on defined processes or projects, and recognise when escalation is required.
  • Able to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute practical solutions that improve efficiency, consistency and control.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, learning agility and a strong interest in improving reward processes through technology, better data and stronger governance.

Education

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience, with typically at least five years of relevant experience in reward, compensation, benefits, HR analytics or a related professional role.
