Waystone is seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Events Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of global events that support brand awareness, client engagement, and business growth.
This role sits within the marketing function, reporting into the VP of Growth and plays a critical part in delivering high-impact in-person and virtual events across key markets.
The successful candidate will combine strong project management skills with creativity and a data-driven mindset to deliver events that drive measurable ROI.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a strategic global events calendar aligned with Waystone’s commercial priorities and growth objectives
- Identify and evaluate sponsorship opportunities, conferences, and proprietary event concepts
- Partner with sales and marketing stakeholders to ensure events support pipeline generation and client retention
- Event Delivery & Logistics
- End-to-end management of events, including planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and onsite delivery
- Manage logistics such as venues, travel, accommodation, AV, branding, and delegate experience
- Ensure consistent brand representation and high-quality execution across all touchpoints
- Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with regional sales teams, marketing, senior leadership, and subject matter experts to define event goals and content
- Act as the primary point of contact for event partners, agencies, and suppliers
- Coordinate speaker preparation, briefing materials, and presentation standards
- Content & Experience Design
- Work with marketing and content teams to create compelling event themes, agendas, and experiences
- Ensure all events deliver a clear value proposition aligned to Waystone’s positioning
- Incorporate digital and hybrid elements where appropriate to maximise reach
- Budget & ROI Management
- Manage the global events budget, ensuring cost efficiency and accountability
- Track and report on event performance, including lead generation, engagement, and ROI
- Continuously optimise the events programme based on performance insights and feedback
- Marketing Integration
- Align events with broader marketing campaigns, including pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up with our SDR team
- Work with digital and CRM teams to ensure seamless lead capture and nurturing
- Support the creation of event-related content (emails, landing pages, social media, etc.)
- Key Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B events management, preferably within financial services, asset management, or professional services
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, ROI-driven events (in-person and virtual)
- Strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Commercial mindset with the ability to align events to business outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing budgets and negotiating with vendors
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e. g., Salesforce) and event platforms
