Waymo is seeking a Safety Researcher in a hybrid role to advance computational road user behavior modeling.

You will report to the Senior Staff Safety Researcher, Human Behavior, and lead efforts in metrics and models for safety evaluation.

You will collaborate with Simulation and AI Foundations teams to productionize behavioral metrics, explore new modeling ideas with academic partners, and publish results in journals and conferences.

Travel up to 10% is required.
