You Will

  • Ensure the Waymo fleet is ready for service and align with performance goals and standards for the market.
  • Guide and manage a team of diagnostic technicians, setting priorities and ensuring effective task execution.
  • Provide daily support to vendors, ensuring compliance with operational standards and driving accountability for performance.
  • Implement strategies to keep the fleet healthy and ready for Ride-Hail services, proactively identifying and resolving issues with internal and external teams and vendors.
  • Collaborate with diagnostic technicians and monitor fleet health, implement necessary corrective actions, and support vendor operations.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to established processes and provide performance updates and insights to Fleet Manager and Head of Global Fleet Readiness.

You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial operations and logistics role with a focus on fleet readiness initiatives
  • Proven ability to drive the execution of daily operational tasks, while ensuring operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external partners and executives
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to identify gaps and make informed decisions
  • 2+ years of professional automotive technician service and maintenance experience

  • Ability to build and manage relationships, engage in-person, and foster cross-functional communication and alignment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate vision, set objectives, and provide timely guidance to enhance team knowledge.
  • Skilled in analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, risk assessment, management, and long-term planning and prioritization.
  • Expertise in proactively identifying potential challenges, planning remediation steps, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Capability to lead and manage by setting and communicating a clear vision, inspiring teams, and aligning the team to organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams towards common objectives.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25% or as required
  • Requires travel to US for training (4-5 weeks)

The expected base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
