What does a Recruitment Consultant do?
- Building a client portfolio of businesses within your specialist market and area.
- Managing a database of top calibre professional candidates.
- Identifying opportunities within the market place.
- Generating leads and developing relationships.
- Working with all parties to deliver a professional, tailored experience for clients and candidates alike.
Career Progression at Wayman Group
- 1st Year: 121 mentoring from one of Wayman Group’s top performers. Most consultants will look to earn around 35-50k and receive 2 promotions in their first year.
- 2nd Year: Solid performers will look to be promoted to at least Senior Consultant, earning between 50-65k.
- 3rd Year: Consistent billers may lead and grow a small team of around 1-4 consultants, expecting to earn 65k-80k with top performers exceeding this.
- 4th Year: On track to earn between 80k+, leading a team of 4-8 people and enrolled in our 2-year Leadership and Development Programme.

What we are looking for
There is no ‘ideal’ candidate for us - no particular experience is needed. Recruitment is a sales role; while a background in sales could be helpful, it’s not necessary. Our consultants have come from various backgrounds including hospitality, construction, call centres, competitive sport, education, the military, and straight from university. If you can demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a desire to be successful, and a good sense of humour, we’d like to hear from you.
