What does a Recruitment Consultant do?
- Building a client portfolio of businesses within your specialist market and area.
- Managing a database of top calibre professional candidates.
- Identifying opportunities within the market place.
- Generating leads and developing relationships.
- Working with all parties to deliver a professional, tailored experience for clients and candidates alike.
What would a career at Wayman Group look like?
It’s very much a meritocracy here - the rate you earn and progress is entirely down to you. You will receive 121 mentoring from one of Wayman Group’s top performers. With the ability to earn commission on top of your salary from Day One, most consultants will look to earn around 35-50k and receive 2 promotions in their first year. Solid performers will look to be promoted to at least Senior Consultant by the second year, seeing a hefty salary increase, realistically earning between 50-65k. Consistent billers who have shown an interest in managing will be taking very clear steps in this direction by the third year, leading and growing a small team of around 1-4 consultants, with earnings expected to be between 65k-80k. By the fourth year, you should be on track to earn between 80k+, progressing towards 6 figure earnings, leading a team of 4-8 people and enrolled within our 2 year Leadership and Development Programme.

What we are looking for
There is no ‘ideal’ candidate for us - and no particular experience is needed. Recruitment is a sales role and whilst a background in sales could be helpful, it’s not necessary. Our consultants have come from various backgrounds including hospitality, construction, call centres, competitive sport, education, the military, and straight from university. If you can demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a desire to be successful, and a good sense of humour, we’d like to hear from you.
