The Role
We are looking for an inspiring Art Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students. The successful candidate will be passionate about art and design, and committed to providing a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage and support students in developing their artistic skills and creativity.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Organise and display student artwork within the school.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Art or a related subject.
- Experience teaching art at secondary level is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for art and a commitment to student success.
Desirable:
- Experience in organising and leading extracurricular art activities.
- Familiarity with a range of artistic techniques and media.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
