We are working with a vibrant and fun primary school based in Reading seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent KS2 teacher/Leader of Maths required from September 2024.
This fantastic primary school is searching for an outstanding KS2 teacher who has the skills and drive to lead Mathematics throughout the entire school starting in September. This is a significant position within the school, and the successful applicant will join the school's extended leadership team. Strong communication and analytical abilities, as well as the ability to teach a fun-loving Year 4 or 5 class beginning in September, are required for this position. Only exceptional, experienced KS2 teachers will be interviewed for this permanent full-time position.
The children are hardworking, caring, inquisitive and imaginative, and the staff here aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment. As a result, we are seeking a primary teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.
Responsibilities of a KS2 teacher:
- Responsible for the pastoral care of the children, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
- Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
- Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
- Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.
