Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our exceptional faculty. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and inspiring students in subjects such as History, Social Studies, and Literature. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive Humanities curriculum that aligns with state standards and school objectives.
  • Instruction: Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons tailored to diverse learning styles, encouraging student participation and engagement.
  • Assessment: Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that fosters respect, collaboration, and academic excellence.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and/or lead school clubs, extracurricular activities, and events that enrich the school community.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with educational best practices and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Certification: Valid teaching certification, QTS or QTLS.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Humanities subjects, including History, Geography, Social Studies, and Literature. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning. Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
