We are delighted to partner with a leading secondary school in Merton, South London, to recruit a highly qualified and enthusiastic Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles.
  • Design and implement innovative curriculum plans that align with the national curriculum and meet the individual needs of students.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their musical potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the music department and across the school to enrich the overall learning experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching music to secondary school students, ideally across all Key Stages.
  • A strong understanding of music theory, history, and performance practices.
  • Proficiency in at least one musical instrument, with the ability to teach both instrumental and vocal skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
