We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher to join a thriving department in a well-regarded North West London secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner to contribute to the delivery of a dynamic and engaging D&T curriculum for students aged 11-18.
The Role: You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing engaging D&T lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Food Technology at GCSE level. You will create a stimulating learning environment that fosters students' problem-solving skills, design thinking, and practical abilities. You will play a key role in maintaining a well-equipped workshop and ensuring the safe and effective use of all machinery and tools. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the D&T curriculum, aligning it with the latest educational requirements. You will actively participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues across the school.
The Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology is essential. A strong track record of delivering engaging and effective D&T lessons is desirable. Experience teaching Food Technology at GCSE level is highly regarded. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are necessary. A passion for innovation and a commitment to student achievement are essential. The ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds is key.
