Librarian - Secondary School in North London (September Start)

On behalf of our client, a well-regarded secondary school in Haringey, we are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Librarian to manage and develop their school library. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a love of reading and learning within the school community. They will be responsible for curating a diverse collection of resources, promoting literacy initiatives, and providing guidance and support to both students and staff.

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library, including managing the lending system, maintaining the collection, and creating displays.
• Developing and delivering library programs and activities that encourage student engagement and promote literacy.
• Collaborating with teaching staff to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
• Providing research and reference support to students and staff.
• Promoting the library and its services to the school community.

• A degree in Library Science or Information Studies, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a school or public library setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• A passion for literature and promoting literacy.
