Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding Maths curriculum.
- Provide strategic direction and support to Maths teachers, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress and achievements in Maths.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Mentor and guide Maths teachers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Contribute to the school's Maths program and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialization in Mathematics or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred).
- Significant experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to deliver outstanding lessons.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up with the latest developments in Mathematics education.
