We are delighted to partner with a leading secondary school in Merton, South London, to recruit a highly qualified and enthusiastic Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles.
- Design and implement innovative curriculum plans that align with the national curriculum and meet the individual needs of students.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their musical potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the music department and across the school to enrich the overall learning experience.
- Contribute to the school's vibrant musical culture by participating in extracurricular activities such as concerts, ensembles, and productions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest pedagogical approaches and developments in music education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching music to secondary school students, ideally across all Key Stages.
- A strong understanding of music theory, history, and performance practices.
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument, with the ability to teach both instrumental and vocal skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
