We are partnering with a thriving Ofsted "Good" secondary school in Hillingdon to find a talented and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their vibrant Design and Technology department. This exciting opportunity offers a full-time or part-time permanent position, commencing this September.

The Role:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons, catering to Key Stage 3 and potentially GCSE curriculums.
  • Ignite a passion for healthy eating, culinary skills, and food science within your students.
  • Create and implement innovative lesson plans that adhere to national standards and departmental objectives.
  • Foster a safe and productive learning environment by maintaining a well-equipped kitchen and demonstrating safe food handling practices.
  • Contribute collaboratively to the overall growth and success of the Design and Technology department.
  • (Optional, but desirable) Play a role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues.

We Are Seeking a Candidate Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology with a specialization in Food Technology.
  • Possesses a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience, ideally within a secondary school environment.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of current curriculum trends and assessment practices specific to Food Technology.
  • Exhibits exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Holds a genuine passion for creating a dynamic learning space that cultivates student curiosity and culinary exploration.
