An inclusive and dynamic secondary school in Greenwich is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN English Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for a committed educator who is eager to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning needs, ensuring all students, regardless of their challenges, can access and succeed in their education.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated English lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of SEN students, promoting progress and achievement.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, working closely with the SENCO and other support staff.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to ensure every student can thrive.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, confidence, and a love for learning.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and external specialists to provide holistic support for students with SEN.
- Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress and support strategies.
