Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating English lessons, fostering a love of language and literature in students. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential in English. Develop students' critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills through a variety of texts, including novels, poems, plays, and non-fiction. Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Safe Learning Environment: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and respectful discussion.
- Student Progress: Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals in English. Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.
- Enrichment Activities: Contribute to and potentially lead enrichment activities related to English (e.g., debating clubs, creative writing workshops, theatre trips). Foster a love of reading and encourage students to explore their literary interests beyond the curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate:
