Role: Finance Manager – E-Commerce Technology Business
Location: Central London (hybrid working)
Salary: £70k – £80k plus bonus
The Role: This role is working for a very exciting and fast-growing E-Commerce Technology business with a brilliant brand in the sector and exciting strategy for the future. They are hiring for an exciting Finance Manager opportunity reporting directly to the Finance Director. You will be a core member of the wider finance team and play a key part in supporting and strengthening the finance function. Working with the Director of Finance you will be building upon the businesses core accounting processes and reporting. Furthermore, this role will evolve and become a conduit between the business and the finance team where you will spend significant time establishing relationships and providing support to senior management. You will identifying new ways to communicate performance and providing financial planning and commercial analytical support.
Role Responsibilities:
- You will take ownership of the month end close and management accounts reporting processes including analysis and commentary
- Delivering accurate and timely management information with clear understanding of key drivers and commentary against those
- Responsible for ensuring strong financial controls are in place and operating effectively, including robust balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for business audit and statutory accounts reporting process including preparation of complex technical accounting papers
- Responsible for day-to-day oversight of the companies\’ tax affairs and compliance including new tax requirements and jurisdictions
- Cash forecasting and planning and cost planning including reporting to cost centre owners
- Finance systems including identification, evaluation, implementation, development, and maintenance
- Technical Accounting and support on any accounting policies, judgements, and estimates
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) 1-2 year post qualified
- Working understanding of accounting policies and IFRS
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in partnering with stakeholders
- Confident in identifying, resolving, and escalating key points and issues
- Prepare annual financial statements for statutory audit with all supporting notes and schedules
- Experience in a Start Up/Technology/Ecommerce business, or a similar industry in a high growth environment. Though not a prerequisite
