We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Examinations Officer to oversee and manage all aspects of exam administration at our school in Sutton. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that internal and external examinations are conducted smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:- Organize and manage the administration of all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and exam board requirements.
- Work closely with teaching staff to create exam timetables, coordinate invigilation, and manage exam rooms and resources.
- Liaise with examination boards and other relevant authorities to ensure accurate registration of candidates and the timely distribution of results.
- Ensure that all deadlines for exam entries, amendments, and exam-related queries are met.
- Maintain accurate records of exam entries, results, and qualifications, adhering to data protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Ensure special arrangements are in place for students with additional needs or disabilities, working closely with the SENCo to meet individual requirements.
- Provide clear communication to students, parents, and staff regarding exam procedures, timetables, and regulations.
- Coordinate with invigilators, train them on exam procedures, and ensure that they are available for all exam sessions.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and dispatch of exam papers, ensuring secure handling of confidential materials.
- Handle any queries or issues related to exams, including appeals and re-marks, liaising with the relevant stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.
- Previous experience in an examinations officer role or similar administrative position.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of exam administration.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, students, parents, and external bodies.
- Familiarity with examination board processes and regulations is preferred.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- A clear DBS check.
