We are delighted to partner with a leading secondary school in Essex, renowned for its academic excellence and nurturing environment. They are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join their faculty in a full-time, permanent capacity starting this September.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students through the fascinating world of psychology, fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of human behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Psychology lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational goals across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and independent thinking.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and wider school community to develop and enhance the Psychology curriculum.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and teaching methodologies in the field of psychology.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at the secondary level, particularly at Key Stages 4 and 5.
