Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons on Economics to students in line with the curriculum
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their learning
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular projects and activities
• Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders
• Encourage student inquiry and critical thinking through the use of varied teaching strategies
• Implement and adhere to the school’s policies and procedures regarding student behaviour and discipline

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field, Masters preferred
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
• Proven experience teaching Economics to secondary students
• Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and educational frameworks
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to stay updated with the latest trends in education
