Our client, an esteemed secondary school in the vibrant borough of Tower Hamlets, seeks a highly qualified and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2024, offering an exciting chance to inspire and cultivate a love for the dramatic arts in Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging and innovative drama lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational philosophy.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves creatively and develop their acting, directing, and technical skills.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback and tailoring instruction to individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to create enriching cross-curricular experiences and contribute to the school's vibrant performing arts program.
- Actively participate in the school's extracurricular activities, such as directing school productions, organizing drama clubs, and participating in festivals and competitions.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field.

- Demonstrated experience teaching drama at the secondary level, with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating students.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum for drama and a passion for keeping abreast of the latest pedagogical approaches.
