We are seeking a supportive Drama Teacher to join a flourishing Secondary School based in Sevenoaks Kent starting January. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a Drama setting. Aside from that the successful Drama Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience. Drama Teacher Responsibilities: Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire Drama students to reach their full potential Monitor and assess students progress and keep regular records of Drama students academic performance Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning Collaborate with school management teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Drama students Prepare and participate in schoolrelated activities such as performances events and parent/teacher meetings Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment Drama Teacher Requirements: Drama teacher experience QTS or equivalent A recognised qualification in teaching preferably a Bachelors degree in Education or any relevant field Proven experience in teaching Drama in a mainstream secondary school Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with parents staff and students Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles A passion for teaching and making a difference in students lives.
