We are working with a thriving secondary school in Dorking that is eager to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their dedicated staff. Position Summary

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Design & Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have the opportunity to foster a passion for design, innovation, and practical skills in students, equipping them with essential knowledge and capabilities for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational aims.
  • Create a dynamic and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse needs and abilities.
  • Maintain a well-organized and safe learning environment, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to enhance the Design & Technology curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
