We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Geography Teacher to join a reputable Independent school in Coventry. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching across KS4 and KS5. Aside from that, the successful Geography Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire secondary students to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress and keep regular records of secondary students’ academic performance.
  • Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning.
  • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Secondary students.
  • Prepare and participate in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.
  • Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment.

Geography Teacher Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent.
  • Degree in relative field - A Subject of Specialism.
  • A recognized qualification in teaching, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Education or any relevant field.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class.
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles.
  • A passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives.
