We are looking for a diligent Year 6 Teacher for a permanent contract in a forward-thinking school in Barnet, North London. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 10-11 and preparing them for their upcoming SATs exams. Responsibilities of a Year 6 teacher:
- As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
- Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
- Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.
Year 6 Teacher requirements:
- A qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies.
