Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Teacher of Science, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).

Deliver high-quality Key Stage 5 (A-Level) teaching in your science specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), inspiring students to achieve academic excellence and prepare for higher education.

Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and passion for scientific principles, methodologies, and their real-world applications.

Utilise a variety of effective teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering an inquiry-based and student-centred approach.

Assess student progress regularly, providing timely, constructive feedback and contributing to comprehensive student reports.

Contribute actively to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring they remain current and engaging.

Participate in and, where appropriate, lead extracurricular science activities, enriching the learning experience for all students.

Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school community.
What We\βre Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) at degree level or equivalent.

Proven experience teaching Science successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential.

Demonstrable experience teaching your science specialism effectively at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is crucial.
