Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with a passion for early years education? We are looking for an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Leader to join our vibrant school in Hertfordshire, starting September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and inspire within a supportive and nurturing environment.

EYFS Leader Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the EYFS team, promoting high standards of teaching and learning within the early years setting.
  • Develop and implement a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support their development.
  • Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Provide guidance and support to EYFS staff, promoting effective practices and continuous professional development.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and staff to drive school improvement and ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.

EYFS Leader Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in early years education, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team of early years practitioners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all children.
