Classics Teacher

Passionate Classics Teacher Wanted in Hounslow! Academic Secondary School Location: Hounslow Role: Classics Teacher (Latin and/or Ancient History) (Full-Time, Permanent) Key Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and challenging Classics lessons (potentially focusing on Latin and/or Ancient History) across Key Stages 3-4, and potentially A-Level. * Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of classical languages, literature, history, and culture within an academic environment. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Classics curriculum. * Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Classics. * Potentially contribute to extracurricular classics clubs or trips. Qualifications & Experience: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Classics, Latin, and/or Ancient History. * Degree in Classics, Ancient History, Latin, Greek, or a related field. * Proven experience teaching Classics at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply). * Strong subject knowledge of classical languages, literature, history, and culture. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make classical subjects engaging and accessible within an academic framework. * A commitment to fostering a love of classical civilizations and their enduring relevance within a brilliant and encouraging setting.
